Phumza Mfenyana, the executive centre manager of the Nelson Mandela Bay iHub, led the talk entitled “Protecting your IP beyond ideation”. Phumza drew on the #SEW2019 theme Beyond Ideas, Into Action by discussing the important journey from idea to commercialisation. He emphasised that although having good business ideas is important, it means little if student entrepreneurs do not manage to turn their ideas into action.
During #SEW activities, all (26) public universities and TVET colleges focus on supporting and equipping potential student entrepreneurs in taking practical steps into starting businesses that could be sustainable.
